Current scam being reported by the ATO
The ATO is receiving reports of cryptocurrency scams. The scammers are pretending to be from the ATO and telling people they are suspected of being involved in cryptocurrency tax evasion.
If you receive an email of SMS delete these emails or messages immediately and do NOT respond.
Please do NOT click on any links within these email or messages as they will redirect you to another website to steal your information.
